The NFL world was hyped this week after news came out of the Scouting Combine in Indy that Aaron Rodgers was open to a move to the New York Jets. Fans are eagerly waiting for the star QB to take the decision for his future in the league, and this slight ray of hope gave fans a reason to glue their eyes on all the developments related to A-Rod. However, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero is refuting this information.
Pelissero appeared on ‘The Rich Eisen Show’ and the first topic he wanted to discuss was a potential move for Rodgers after 18 years with the Green Bay Packers. And according to his factual reports, Aaron is still in limbo, having no clarity despite being out of the darkness.

Former ESPN host of SportsCenter and NFL Live, Tony Wingo, raised the crowd temperature ahead of the March 15 free agency when he announced that Super Bowl XLV MVP Aaron Rodgers is open to moving to New York. However, Pelissero put a dent in that expectation.

Tom confirmed the Jets’ interest in acquiring A-Rod. He also indicated that the Packers are ready to move on. “They are open to working with him to make this [the Jets] a reality and then moving forward with Jordan Love. The key piece of this as it has been throughout the entire saga is that Aaron Rodgers hasn’t yet told the Packers and the Jets what he wants to do. As of right now, he hasn’t told them what he wants,” Pelissero told Rich Eisen.
Fans were expecting an answer from Rodgers within hours of him coming out of his ‘darkness retreat’. However, it’s been more than two weeks and the 4x NFL MVP is still weighing his options.
Aaron Rodgers doesn’t want to be rushed into anything
“I spent part of a couple of days imagining what it would be like to retire. And then imagining what would be like to continue to play,” Aaron had said in his first post-retreat interview on the ‘Aubrey Marcus Podcast’. And he also clarified that he will not be rushed into making a life decision.

“Not looking for someone to tell me what the answer is. Because I don’t make this decision lightly. I don’t want to drag anybody around. If you don’t like it, think this is drama and I’m being a diva, just tune it out. I’ll make a decision soon enough,” the quarterback said.
