Another could not believe what Wentz did to one of the best defenders in the league.

Yet another Twitter user felt this was Wentz’s best play of the season.
Best play of his season, make him lead blocker on all run plays https://t.co/BRo9UcPeR7

One fan thought no other quarterback can do what Wentz did.
Nobody else’s QB is doing this https://t.co/fxGltpASqT

Meanwhile, one Twitter user opined, Wentz should have been a blocker all this time instead of a quarterback.
the whole time this mfer should have been throwing blocks instead of balls https://t.co/5fEM3aCZjE

Another fan suggested a position change for the quarterback.
Can we just move Carl to Tightend already and let him actually do something right since he can block?

On the other hand, some fans trolled Smith as well for getting tackled like that by a quarterback.

One person thinks the linebacker will become a meme.
Dat Bear is about to be a meme 😂 https://t.co/weUvF3clHK

Meanwhile, some fans thought a quarterback should not be able to do this, as defenders get called for roughing the passer if they do this to a quarterback.
Quarterbacks can do this but people can't lay them on the ground without a pillow and pacifier before they get called for roughing the passer
— Jeff McKinney (@TheNeckBeardSho) October 14, 2022
Another fan wrote, “Roquan was probably scared that he’d get called for roughing the passer!“
Roquan was probably scared that he’d get called for roughing the passer! 😂

One more fan had the same opinion.
Honestly if you can’t hit QBs they shouldn’t be able to jump in and throw blocks https://t.co/jg6Cdzl5Im

It is worth noting that referees have been making some roughing-the-passer calls to protect the quarterbacks from concussion injuries. Moreover, the NFL also tweaked its rules to protect the quarterbacks, which drew plenty of criticism from fans and experts.
Meanwhile, the Commanders are still at the bottom of the NFC East division despite the victory. Many of the players have faced plenty of criticism, including Wentz, for their poor performances this season. On the other hand, pressure is mounting on their owner, Dan Snyder, to relinquish the ownership. So, there is a chance the Commanders fans could see a new owner pretty, which could finally turn their fortunes around.
