Jerry Jones bought the Dallas Cowboys in 1989. Many people criticized his decision to spend so much money on buying a sports franchise. However, Jerry had a vision for the Cowboys, and it has reaped him huge success.

Eugenia Jones, fondly known as Gene, was once asked about how she felt when her husband decided to buy an NFL team. While telling the story, she got emotional. She knew her husband and she herself had to face a lot of challenges after making the decision to buy the Dallas Cowboys.

Mrs. Jones said, You know it had been a dream…  It was such a big challenge to do this, and it was something I knew Jerry wanted to be involved in sports. He loved being an Arkansas Razorback, and it was such an exciting time in our life the time.”

She added, “We were at the University of Arkansas and he’d loved the game of football, and when he found out that the Dallas Cowboys were available for him to be a part of, he was just thrilled beyond explanation and he came to our kids and it’s like this is a great undertaking, and we’re you know, it’s your, it’s our future, it’s their future, and we’re risking our future on this investment.

Everyone knows that Jerry Jones worked quite hard to make the Cowboys successful. Even though they haven’t had much success in recent years, they are still the most valuable sports franchise in the world. It signifies the great work done by Jones off the field as well. He has continuously helped to push the value of his team in the right direction.

Jerry Jones has seen it all with his Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys were pretty good in the 1990s. They won three Super Bowls in a span of five years and dominated everyone in the NFL. However, since then, there has been a huge drought.

Jerry Jones’ team hasn’t won the Super Bowl since 1996. They have continuously underperformed every season, and fans are left disappointed every year. It’ll be fair to say that the Billionaire owner has seen both the highs and lows of being the Cowboys owner.

Hopefully, the glory days will return to Dallas. Everyone associated with the Cowboys is hungry for a Super Bowl win. Their current team is quite talented and has the potential to win it all. However, they’ll need to be more consistent.
