Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the most popular players in the NFL. The Cleveland Browns’ wide-receiver is adored by the public and garners a lot of attention on social media.

From being in popular music videos to major endorsement deals, Beckham Jr. is one of the NFL’s most conspicuous stars. And now, it seems like he earns the most money through his social media endeavors.

News emerged today that Odell Beckham Jr. was the highest-paid NFL player for his Instagram posts. He ranks above bonafide superstars like Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers.

NFL analyst Skip Bayless spoke on Odell’s recent upturn in value. He was not at all surprised with how popular Odell Beckham Jr. was and called him one of the most amazing phenomena in the NFL.

“I don’t even want to go there, Odell over Tom Brady. That’s a duh to me. Yes, he is far more interesting on social media than Tom Brady could ever dream about being.

“In fact, I’m surprised Tom Brady has even that big a following. But Odell Beckham Jr. is the most amazing phenomenon I have ever witnessed in all my years covering any sport, especially the NFL.”

Odell Beckham Jr. surpasses biggest NFL names

Bayless further added that Odell is more renowned for his activities off the court than he is on the court. Bayless, while being slightly critical of Beckham Jr., noted that his work away from the football field was far more noteworthy than his play on it.

He even took a dig at Odell’s poor post-season record, noting that he earns more money off of his social media platforms than during the Playoffs.

“He has become more famous off the field than on the field. He’s made more for YouTube and Instagram than he is for the NFL post-season. His pre-game circus catch routine is often more entertaining than his on-field performance.”

Can Odell Beckham Jr. become the highest-paid athlete on social media? Right now, he has a lot of competition from several other players in the world.

But given how young he is, and how popular he has gotten over the course of his career, OBJ could soon become one of the biggest athletes in the world.
