It’s a huge pull for the media giant. The Fox network continues to add big names to its roster. Back in May 2022, the media titan inked a monstrous ten-year deal with star quarterback Tom Brady that rang in at $375 Million. Brady was hired for the role of NFL analyst, which the QB was supposed to assume after his retirement. It’s been seven months since the quarterback hung up his boots, but his debut is slated for next year.
While Brady has yet to announce the games, the network has snagged yet another former Patriots standout and a close pal of the QB.

Edelman has dabbled a bit in broadcasting, serving a brief stint on “Inside the NFL”, the Paramount + weekly show, for the past two seasons after his retirement in 2020. Now he is gearing up for a deep dive into the “Fox NFL Kickoff” show, a gig that he attracted for his charisma and familiarity being on a renowned franchise like the Patriots.
“He’s somebody that’s so engaging when you talk to him in person, or when you see the clips of him doing TV or doing these podcasts as he’s done. He’s also gained the credibility of fans with the teams that he was on,” said Brad Zager, Fox Sports executive producer and president of production & operations.

Brady won’t don the new hat soon
As the Patriots trio has officially joined the lineup, fans will have to wait for Brady’s broadcasting debut a little longer. The former QB who was anticipated to provide commentary starting this season later relayed that he won’t commentate on NFL games for Fox until the fall of 2024.
During an appearance on The Herd With Colin Cowherd, Brady stated that he had settled the subject with Fox Sports leadership as the parties agreed he won’t start at Fox this season, explaining “decompression [is] important” after his retirement from football and he wants to be “great at what I do.”
