Travis Kelce has gone on to solidify his place as one of the greatest TEs in the NFL. The 2X Super Bowl winner recently won his second Super Bowl championship with his team, Kansas City Chiefs. While catching a football might be his area of expertise, the same cannot be said when it comes to pitching a baseball. Travis Kelce had left fans in a state of laughter after horribly making the opening pitch during a Cleveland Guardians game. And he blames his mother for that.

During a recent episode of the ‘New Heights’ podcast, Kelce opened up to his older brother Jason Kelce about the real reason behind the hilarious scenario that occurred.

In the recent episode of the New Heights Podcast, Jason talked about an incident that Travis Kelce had during the opening pitch of the Cleveland Guardians game. Jason said that calling it the first pitch is a debatable statement. Travis replied by saying that he was never comfortable on the mound and has always been a right fielder. He also went on to talk about how his mother was to make the first pitch, but she let her son do the honors.

He said, “Honestly, mom kind of threw me under the bus. Mom was supposed to throw it. If I would have knew that I would be throwing it the entire time, I would have been doing, I would have been on the mound all week… I did a warm up with a net that was 10 feet in front of me, not 90 feet. That’s probably why it went straight to the ground.”

The pitch which Kelce made brought in hilarious reactions from the NFL world, including his Chiefs teammate, Patrick Mahomes.
