Van Jefferson and his kids left the SoFi Stadium moments after they won the Super Bowl; as his wife got into labor in the midst of the game. The wide receiver earned a Super Bowl ring, and now he and his wife have been blessed with a child.

Van’s wife, Samaira Jefferson, was present at the stadium but was forced to leave on a stretcher and rushed to a nearby hospital after she went into labor. This happened during the fourth quarter of the game when Rams took the lead with 20-16, and he had 4 receptions for 23 yards against the Bengals. She told the Rams’ management and her family not to tell his husband if the baby arrives during the game.

Van Jefferson’s biggest moment

As soon as the game concluded, Jefferson shared a moment with his daughter, who was present with him to celebrate the Rams’ second Super Bowl victory. He was instantly informed about his wife that she went into labor.

After he was informed; he picked up his daughter and rushed towards the locker room, and then instantly left for the hospital. He didn’t stay with his team for the celebration and raced to get to his wife. The couple have been together since their high-school days, and now Van and Samaira Jefferson are welcoming their second child; a baby boy. She was due to give the baby on February 17th.

Moreover, Van Jefferson capped off one of his best seasons so far, having 802 receiving yards, 50 receptions, and six touchdowns. The LA Rams drafted him in the year 2020.

Van Jefferson wasn’t the only athlete who celebrated big time, as Rams’ safety Taylor Rapp proposed to his girlfriend after their Super Bowl triumph. The athlete went down on one knee and brought out a ring for her, and they shared a heartwarming hug in the loaded SoFi stadium.
