The NBA is about to witness history. The Denver Nuggets might just be on their way to winning their first NBA championship in 47 years. Nikola Jokic and his team dismantled the Miami Heat 108-95 in Game 4 to take a 3-1 lead. Just one more win stands between them and their dreams of an NBA championship. But it seems that it’s not just NBA fans who are keeping track of the possible history in the making. 

Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes’ mother Randi Mahomes seems to be in the mix as well. While the Nuggets dismantled the Heat at their home court, Randi Mahomes also shared an amusing fact about Heat star Jimmy Butler with her daughter Mia.

Randi Mahomes has been navigating through life after losing her mother recently. While her son continues to prep for another season in the NFL, she took to social media to share an interesting tit-bit related to basketball and the NBA. 

In a tweet shared by her, Randi Mahomes talked about how she shared a fun fact about six-time NBA all-star Jimmy Butler. Her tweet stated that the 33-year-old Heat player was actually an alumnus of Tyler Junior College and even played basketball there. How is this a fun fact you ask? Well, it seems that Tyler Junior College is actually situated in her hometown in Texas. Does this automatically make her a Miami Heat fan?

While her daughter may certainly be in awe of this fact, Jimmy Butler continues to keep hope about turning back the outcomes in the NBA finals.

Despite being down 3-1, Butler and the Miami Heat will hope to be able to pull off an upset against the Nuggets in the next game. Butler believes in his team’s ability and strength to be able to turn the tides for them. While possessing the talent to make shots, Butler will continue to put his faith in his teammates in order to overcome the hurdle placed in front of them and crush the dreams of the Nuggets for their first NBA title.
