On Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers clinched a playoff spot after a comeback win over the Panthers. With that win, they also won the NFC South division. The Bucs’ star quarterback Tom Brady again proved his greatness after trailing against the Panthers earlier in the game. Particularly, his partnership with WR Mike Evans gave the crowd at the Raymond James Stadium immense joy. After the game, Brady talked about the struggles last year and made some suggestions to improve their performance in the playoffs.

Notably, the Bucs have been pretty poor all season. They were quite fortunate to qualify for the playoffs with an 8-8 record because they had an ordinary division. Earlier, Brady felt hopeful about qualifying for the playoffs because of their weak division. Now, Brady looks determined to clean things up before the playoffs.

Speaking about how they can improve their performances, Brady further said, So, I think everything needs to be cleaned up. It’s just the reality of where we are at; we can’t miss guys whether they are five yards deep or six yards deep. I just got to keep putting the balls out there for those guys to make plays for us.

It is worth noting that Brady and Evans have been struggling with their communication throughout the season. However, against the Panthers, the 7-time Super Bowl champion found Evans plenty of times, resulting in 3 touchdowns. Indeed, this was a great sign for the Bucs before the playoffs. Apart from Evans, Brady showed great improvements in communication with other teammates as well.

Notably, Brady missed the playoffs only once in his career as a starter, which was back in 2002 with the Patriots. Moreover, this is the first in the Bucs’ history that they have won the NFC South division in two consecutive seasons. Although the last year has not been great for the Tampa Bay franchise, this stat will certainly boost their confidence come playoffs.
