The world of crime sees no age as people of all ages commit serious crimes. But when a minor is involved in a crime, that takes special significance. More so if the victim is a young sports star in the capital of the nation. A minor boy has pleaded guilty to shooting an NFL rookie twice last year in an attempt to steal his sports car. Another minor had already entered a guilty plea in the case last week.

The Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. almost lost his life when two teens attempted robbery on him in Washington DC. And one of them has confessed his crime.

A 15-year-old minor boy has pleaded guilty to an attempted robbery on the Commanders’ rookie running back Brian Robinson Jr. The plea came before a DC Superior court this week. The boy faced a trial but entered his guilty plea just one day before it would begin, TMZ reported.

The incident dates back to August 28 last year when the rookie RB went out to grab a bite in the downtown DC area. Two boys, both minors, approached Robinson in an attempt to steal his car. Robinson engaged the older of the two and attempted to disarm him of his handgun. It was then that the younger shot at the RB, putting two bullets in his body. The 17-year-old already pleaded guilty to the charges last week.

The boy also pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in a separate case of the shooting of 15-year-old Andre Robertson.

The court did not reveal the name of the minor boy, as is the law in such cases. While the court sentenced the older of the two to juvenile prison till his 20th birthday, the 15-year-old will get his sentence in March. The victim, the Commanders’ rookie Robinson, returned to the football field mere 46 days after being shot. And he had a decent first season.
