Patrick Mahomes is having a year to remember. He welcomed his second Super Bowl ring, his second Super Bowl MVP, and his second child during this 2022-23 season. And besides being an MVP on-field, Pat described what it takes to be one at home.
Mahomes spoke to the reporters during the Super Bowl LVII media week. And the 2x NFL MVP spoke about his children Sterling Skye Mahomes and newborn son, Patrick Mahomes III. Both the good and the bad. And about his plans for a third child.
The legacy Patrick Mahomes wants as a father

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback realizes that children are the pillars of the future. And he wants to be remembered as an MVP-calibre dad.
“To have two kids now, a girl and a boy, is special. It makes you really appreciate every single day. It’s been amazing. I can’t wait to watch these kids grow. And grow up to become the people I can influence them to become,” the NFL’s leading scorer and touchdown leader this season, said.

Daughter Sterling was present at the State Farm Arena this Sunday to witness her father lift the Vince Lombardi trophy. The trio even made a family trip to Disneyland after the championship. And with a professional soccer star mother in Brittany and a former MLB pitcher grandfather, the children may just end up with a sporting legacy.
Mahomes’ plans for his next kid

The 27-year-old father of two has one of each. And when asked when he plans to break the gender tie with a third, Patrick Mahomes replied, “I’m not gonna break the tie for a while at least. I’d love to watch them grow up.”
Mahomes has previously stated how he barely gets to spend time at home during the NFL season. Also, the workload becomes too much for his wife, Brittany. “It’s hard when you get home from a long day at work and you got a baby in one arm and a baby on the other arm all the time,” he said.
