Tom Brady recalls Mike Evans’ ejection
The reporters asked Tom Brady about the ejection incident in the previous clash with the Saints. The QB said that football is an emotional game, and it is a part of the sport.
“I think it is an emotional game. It’s a very hard-nosed team that we are playing. These guys have been together a long time. They play well together, and they are confident. And, you know, it’s part of the sport, I think. Mike obviously doesn’t want to get kicked out of the game. I’m sure Marshon doesn’t want to get kicked out of the game,” Brady answered.
The Buccaneers QB then stressed on the importance of playing by the letter of the law. And he wants all the parties involved to learn from the incident.“Everyone wants to compete and play hard but you play to the letter of the law. And when it goes beyond that, things happen, unfortunately. But you learn from it, learn to move on,” he said. The incident during the week two clash between the two teams changed the course of the game.

Tensions were high when the Buccaneers met the Saints in their backyard of New Orleans in week two of this season. The score was tied at three-a-piece in the fourth quarter. During a Tampa Bay offensive play, the Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore clashed with the Bucs WR Mike Evans. This happened when Lattimore traded some barbs with Brady. Evans came forward to defend his teammate and pushed Lattimore away.

This caused most players of both teams to spar with each other. The officials ejected both Evans and Lattimore from the game. This turn of events totally changed the course of the game. The score shot up to 20-10 in the favor of the Bucs by the end of the game. Tampa went 2-0 at that point. Much has changed since, but the temper is expected to be the same. Who will come out at the top of this mouth-watering NFC South clash?
