NFL legend Tom Brady is returning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for “One More Year” in the 2022 season. This became a vantage point and a source of extra motivation for Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans.

Although, Evans felt Brady had completely retired in the off-season following the previous NFL campaign; the unexpected return came as an absolute shocker to Tom Brady’s fans and Mike Evans as well.

Mike Evans Believes the Buccaneers Are Lucky to Have Tom Brady as Their Leader

As per Michael David Smith, ProFootballTalk, Mike Evans said, “I had no reason to believe that he would come back. He’s done everything, made a lot of money, best career ever. And he still wants to play. He just loves this game, he loves his teammates, and he wants to win. He said there’s a sour taste in his mouth. There’s one in mine as well. Happy we got him back for at least one more year.”

According to analysts, this could very well be Brady‘s last season. Moreover, Evans wouldn’t mind ending this stint with a Super Bowl Win alongside the legendary quarterback. The wide receiver has high expectations from the Buccaneers post the GOAT’s comeback.

Twitter’s Mixed Reaction After Brady Announced His Comeback

Even though most fans and NFL analysts were happy with Tom Brady’s comeback, Twitter also witnessed an array of mixed reactions. Post his retirement announcement, the New York Jets tweeted saying, “this better be real.”

Even ESPN took a jibe at him for this unexpected comeback.

In his own words, the GOAT is coming back for his 23rd Season in the NFL to take care of some “unfinished business” with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In short, both Brady and the Buccaneers would have high spirits to clinch another super bowl title in the upcoming season.
