Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans plays alongside Tom Brady. Featured on Von Miller’s podcast the receiver revealed some information about his feelings for Brady that comes as a surprise.

Mike Evans tells what he thought of Tom Brady

In conversation with Buffalo Bills defensive star Von Miller, Evans covered his love for Harry Potter, and his favourite wide receivers, among other topics. Speaking about Tom Brady, the receiver revealed something that may have come as a surprise to many.

Evans said, “He’s such a down-to-earth guy like [sic] you said. Growing up, I didn’t like him [Tom Brady] when I was a kid because I was a Peyton Manning fan. Most people know that by now. But, you know when you’re a kid, you’re a little naive. You don’t really understand.” The receiver added that he respected Brady’s greatness after he went to high school and subsequently, college. From a fan’s perspective, Evans cannot be faulted for his initial feelings.

As teammates, Evans’ feelings seem to be far behind him. As one of Brady’s favorite targets, Evans has been racking up numbers with TB12. While talking to Miller, Evans also mentioned his experience with Brady over the last three years. The receiver stated that Brady loved his children and is a great dad.

After a shaky start to the season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are currently at 5-5. Despite their inconsistency, they are seated atop a weak NFC South. Even though the team is having a bye week, Brady was seen at practice. He also brought along his oldest son Jack. In the Bucs’ Week 12 game they will take on the Cleveland Browns. The Browns aren’t doing any better this season either. Currently, at 3-7, they will be hoping to have after two consecutive defeats. The Browns will be hosting Brady and the Bucs in a Sunday Night showdown.
