For starters, Mahomes, himself, is an avid golf fan. The QB, with companion Travis Kelce alongside, is set to take on the deadly sharpshooting duo of the NBA’s finest, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. But the golf world has larger fish to fry at the moment, as they join in the collective marvel of one of the sport’s rarest feats.

The story of Michael Block’s marvelous ‘hole-in-one’ is making the rounds across the globe. Block pulled off the unbelievable with a straight funk, hole-in-one at the PGA Championship, paired alongside none other than Rory Mcllroy. Football’s biggest star, Patrick Mahomes too, had to join the ‘Block Party’, as the shot heard around the world took fans by storm. 

Even the biggest star of Golf, Phil Mickelson, joined in on the praise for Block. 

Pundits from across the golf world also showered Golf’s rising sensation with praise. 

Mahomes was in understandable awe of this miraculous moment in Golf. Block’s story has warmed the heart of every sports fan. The club pro had a surprising pairing with none other than Rory Mcllroy.

And then, the golden moment shined, as Block dunked the hole-in-one. The shot tied the club pro for the 15th spot in the tournament, earning him $280,000, and a direct qualification for next year’s PGA Championship.

Mahomes prepares for his own golden moment in golf 

Patrick Mahomes was in awe of Michael Block’s brilliance this weekend. But more importantly, the QB will hope that he can emulate the same brilliance as he prepares for Capital One’s The Match. Mahomes and Kelce will square off against the recently eliminated Golden State Warriors stars, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.

Curry and Thompson are both avid golf fans. In fact, Curry has been hailed as having the potential to go on as a professional golf player. The superstar has competed in many tournaments during the NBA offseason, making him a tough matchup for Mahomes and Co. With the match set to tee off on June 29, we hope to see if the stars can produce some dazzling shots.
