The Dallas Cowboys are preparing for the upcoming 2022 season. Despite genuine anticipation, their previous run ended abruptly during the wild card round. Fans and critics have chastised Mike McCarthy for his play-calling and mentorship selections in the past. While we may see more of McCarthy, Michael Irvin has found the appropriate alternative for the Cowboys’ head coach.

The Dallas Cowboys have been constantly in the news for a while. Be it their home arena hosting WrestleMania this year, or be it Jerry Jones breaking into the headlines. With the offseason in full swing, unlike other teams, the Cowboys may be silently working in the period. Expect some bigger moves during the 2022 NFL Draft.

Coach Prime gets the Michael Irvin endorsement

Legendary Cowboys WR Michael Irvin recently spoke with EssentiallySports on Dwayne Johnson and the XFL, as well as Tom Brady’s ‘Un-retirement.’ When questioned regarding Deion Sanders mentoring the Dallas Cowboys, he displays his enthusiasm.

He mentions, “If Deion Sanders can be the next Cowboys Coach? Oh my god! Oh my god. I think Deion would do a great job. A great job. Fantastic job. And I was talking to someone earlier. And I said to them, you know, the Cowboys have good talent. They’ve had good talent on that football team. And they’ve drafted really well here, of late. And they sort of have guys with skill. They add guys with skill, but the issue is the will and the desire, and the want.”

Irvin further mentions that Deion is a great motivator, and his skills have put the HBCU back on the radar. One has to give Sanders credit, as wherever he sets his feet, he makes it a better place. And if he ever gets the moment, he can do it just great for the Dallas Cowboys.

Shaquille O’Neal also sides with Deion Sanders as HC for the Cowboys

Deion Sanders has some great fan following in coaching. Not just Michael Irvin, but NBA Legend Shaquille O’Neal has also explained his reasoning for the Cowboys’ next head coach. During an episode of ‘The Big Podcast With Shaq,’ The NBA icon stands his ground. He addresses President/GM Jerry Jones with a statement from Shaquille O’Neal Inc, concerning the hiring of Deion Sanders as the Cowboys’ prospective mentor.

Deion Sanders was a member of the Cowboys’ memorable Super Bowl campaign in 1995, the last occasion the Cowboys raised the Lombardi. Sanders is presently the head coach at Jackson State, where he has led the team to an 11–2 record in his season 2. It’s clearly a long shot, but a Sanders-Cowboys homecoming would be spectacular.
