The Miami Dolphins had a successful offseason, signing and trading for leading components both offensively and defensively. The Draft is already in the rearview mirror. However, Mike McDaniel and Chris Grier are still adding to the Dolphins’ depth chart. Melvin Ingram has agreed to compete with the Miami Dolphins. As exhilarating as this massive move appears to be, it has left fans whirring.

Melvin Ingram has been a journeyman in his NFL career so far. He began his career with the San Diego (Now LA) Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Kansas City Chiefs. The veteran edge defender is now joining a bolstered Dolphins line-up.

 

Melvin Ingram, 33 years old, has signed a contract with the Miami Dolphins. NFL analyst Jordan Schultz reported the signing. The Chiefs got the veteran pass rusher to a free agent tender two weeks earlier. As a result, his attempt to sign with the Dolphins might very well affect the NFL’s compensatory pick formula.

While the bulk of the Dolphins’ offseason inclusions was on the offensive side, Ingram is one of the most significant defending acquisitions. For the franchise, Mike McDaniel seems to be on a major offseason binge. This relocation has intensified Miami’s protection.

During his tenure with the Chargers, the franchise handpicked Ingram to the Pro Bowl 3 times and had the two-digit sack totals in both 2015 and 2017. In the Seahawks, the veteran sports person draws some edge-rushing treads. In the starting lineup, he’d accompany Emmanuel Ogbah nicely.
