Brady’sOn Friday, both Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen announced on social media that they were separating from one another after filing a divorce. Notably, they filed a divorce in Florida on Friday morning and later the judge approved it. 

Meanwhile, a recent wild theory suggests that the Miami Dolphins could be responsible for their eventual divorce. Earlier, many reported that Brady’s U-turn on retirement was the main reason for their divorce; however, Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio suggested otherwise.

Are the Miami Dolphins responsible for Tom Brady’s and Gisele Bündchen’s marriage?

During the ‘Pardon My Take’ podcast, Florio said, “There’s a theory in league circles, and I think I’m couching it properly, that the issues with Tom Brady and his wife blew up when the league announced the punishment of the Dolphins. Because of the flirtation with Brady. Because she had, as the theory goes, no idea he was talking to the Dolphins.”

“I’m telling you, there are people who are employed by NFL teams who think that. And when you look at the timeline, that stuff came out. And it was the next day he started missing practices,” he further said.

Earlier in August, Brady took an 11-day leave from the Bucs’ training camp during the pre-season. Later, Brady cited it as personal reasons, as the Bucs agreed to it. Before that, on August 2nd, the NFL announced that they have suspended the Dolphins’ owner Stephen Ross. They suspended Ross for the first six weeks of the 2022-23 season for having an unauthorized conversation with the seven-time Super Bowl champion.

Notably, the vice president of the Dolphins, Bruce Beal, held a conversation with Brady back in the 2019-20 season, while the quarterback was under contract with the Patriots. Then again, in 2021, Brady while he was playing for the Bucs. Reportedly, the Dolphins were trying to lure Brady into becoming a football executive and possibly play for them as well.

After those impermissible conversations, the NFL decided to suspend the Dolphins’ owner, Ross. At that time, Florio was covering the news story between the Dolphins and Brady. Florio suspected that Brady was maybe talking to the Dolphins’ owners when he took a leave from Bucs’ training camp.

After these events, Brady and his wife had a big fight, which resulted in a divorce a few months later. However, many news outlets reported that Bündchen was not happy with Brady, as he decided to return to the NFL just 40 days after retiring. After a long emotional turmoil, this Friday, they finally filed for a divorce. TMZ reported that their divorce settlement and agreement will stay private and confidential. But they will now share joint custody of their children.
