Former Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell admitted that he smoked marijuana during his stay in the NFL. During a podcast appearance, Bell revealed that he smoked up even just before the game. And according to him, it sometimes helped him perform better on the football field, whatever colors he was donning during the time.

“Looking back on this, that’s what I did. When I was playing football, I smoked, bro. Even before the games, I’d smoke and I’d go out there and run for 150, two (touchdowns),” Bell said on the ‘Steel Here’ podcast.

Bell came into the league as a Steelers second-round pick in the 2013 draft. He also lined up for the New York Jets, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Baltimore Ravens, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But he couldn’t establish himself in his later years and got cut multiple times in that period.

Christian McCaffrey leads the RB pay charge

The San Francisco 49ers‘ Christian McCaffrey is of the opinion that the RB position is undervalued in the NFL. According to him, the running backs aren’t paid well according to the job that they are asked to do.

“The running back position has been undervalued in my opinion for what they’re asked to do. And I think there’s a lot of guys that are afraid to speak up about that for multiple reasons, you know. I don’t know when the value of a yard got diminished,” McCaffrey said on the Rich Eisen Show.
