The Buffalo Bills’ star, Stefon Diggs returned to the team’s facility and joined the mandatory training camp on June 14, 2023. This came after a minor hiccup when Diggs arrived at the facility but then left before practice. This caused the head coach, Sean McDermott, to be very concerned about Diggs’ absence. And now, another teammate of his has revealed his feelings about his sudden absence.
Josh Allen had to answer questions. During a podcast interview, the $258 Million quarterback vented his frustration about media reports concerning his star player, Stefon Diggs, missing the mini-camp. Allen was firm in stating that Diggs is ‘his guy’ and indicated that the issue was minor, not something significant. Additionally, he put the blame on the media for exaggerating things in the market.

In June 2023, Stefon Diggs missed a day of minicamp, prompting speculation about a rift between him and quarterback Josh Allen. Allen later addressed the situation, saying that Diggs had been dealing with some personal issues and that they were “working on some things not-football related.” Diggs returned to minicamp the next day, and there have been no further reports of any problems between the two players.

The media did indeed blow the situation out of proportion. As Allen recently said per Barstool Sports, there’s no reason to continue talking about it. “Yeah, I love him. That’s my guy. Like, what the media has blown this so far out of proportion. Right? Like, we are in rookie or mini-camp. We’re not playing a game for four months. He [Diggs] doesn’t show up one day. He’s still there, you know, coach asked him to go home. We were in talks and discussions of trying to resolve some things and it wasn’t anything major,” Josh Allen said.

According to HC, they got to a point on the previous day where they all felt like they needed some time and space. So, Coach McDermott allowed Diggs to take some time off and leave, and they resumed their talks after practice. It’s important to note that Diggs didn’t leave without permission; he was excused by Coach McDermott.
