Life is difficult, especially if you are Aaron Rodgers. After months of relentless negotiations, Aaron Rodgers has officially cut all ties with the Green Bay Packers and departed for greener avenues. Before his trade from the Packers, Rodgers was contemplating between retiring and moving away from the Green Bay franchise, shutting down all doors to an eventual return.
Since then A-Rod has found his next landing destination in New York, shifting his allegiance to the Jets. With Rodgers at the helm, the Jets have roped in several of his former Packers teammates. However, Green Bay isn’t the only one with whom Rodgers shares a complicated relationship, similar instances have occurred in his personal life as well.

The narrative around Aaron Rodgers has always been one of being self-serving. Even during his historic stint with the Packers, Rodgers was not known for being the friendliest on the roster. The disconnect between Rodgers and his teammates is equally visible in his family life, as the Super Bowl MVP refrains from talking to his family.
Aaron Rodgers has two brothers, Luke and Jordan. However, the brothers are not as close as they used to be. Back in 2016, a mysterious rift took precedence over the brotherly bond, as Aaron and Jordan grew apart. Jordan Rodgers made an appearance on the reality show, The Bachelorette. Jordan eventually succeeded in winning the affection of JoJo Fletcher and the couple made their way to meet the family.
At the time, Jordan shared, “My middle brother (Aaron Rodgers) won’t be there, Like I said, I have a great relationship with my brother Luke. Me and Aaron really don’t have much of a relationship.”
Jordan further clarified that A-Rod’s choices have had something to do with the tussle, “It’s just kind of the way he’s chosen to do life, and I chose to stay close with my family, my parents and my brother, It’s not ideal, and I love him. I can’t imagine what it’s like to be in his shoes and have the pressure he has and the demands from people he has. Don’t have hard feelings against him. It’s just how things go right now.”
While the exact reasons behind the family tussle are not yet known, Aaron Rodgers seems to have grown apart from his family. Despite the difference of opinions, there are still chances of a reconciliation or at least A-Rod hopes so.

A-Rod hopes to make amends?
Keeping in line with Jordan’s comments, Rodgers shared that there is no ‘bitterness’ in his heart. The 4x MVP is aware of the situation and hopes that the family can reconcile, “I do believe in healing and I believe in the possibility of reconciliation at some point,” Rodgers said on the “Aubrey Marcus Podcast” in 2022. At the time, Rodgers’ then-girlfriend, actress Olivia Munn, was believed to have played a role in the rift, even though she declined these claims. Munn shared that she shared a cordial relationship with Jordan and had only met the parents on two separate occasions. She further clarified that the rift far preceded their relationship and the family was past speaking terms.
The rift was speculated to have taken a life in itself, to the degree that Rodgers’ even returned Christmas presents sent by his family. Despite these rifts being public knowledge, Aaron Rodgers has to tread the course carefully, weighing every word he speaks on the matter, and still hoping for getting things right.
