The QB of the Super Bowl-winning team, the LA Rams, will not face the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Matthew Stafford is down with a strained neck. He was out on concussion protocol twice. The QB suffered a concussion once earlier this month. But the team could not prove if he suffered a concussion the second time when he was put in the protocol.

The Los Angeles Rams do not know if or when Number 9 will return to the field. In the season so far, the Super Bowl-winning QB suffered numerous hits. Therefore, his team ruled him out of the game on Sunday.

The 34-year-legs old’s were numb, according to the Rams’ head coach Sean McVay, after he banged his head on the Superdome grass last Sunday while playing against the Saints. The coach also said Although Stafford is in the confusion protocol, that does not mean he is down with a concussion.

Matthew Stafford and the Rams are going downhill

The Fearsome Foursome could not win against the New Orleans Saints, who handed them their fourth straight loss. Saints QB, Andy Dalton, passed for three touchdowns while Stafford left the game in the third quarter after hitting his head on the turf. The Georgia alumnus was sacked before he got evaluated.

The 2022 season saw a completely different Stafford. He threw ten TDs and eight interceptions. Along with that, his QB rating has dropped to 87.4. His quarterback rating was 102.9  in the last season. Also, the star QB threw 41 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. Many believe that since the team lost skilled players like Odell Beckham Jr. and Von Miller, it is getting difficult for the team to deliver victories. Then the team relied on their trustworthy WR Cooper Kupp. However, he is out because of an ankle injury.

Bryce Perkins, a 2020 undrafted free agent, will start the game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. This will offer time for Matthew Stafford to rest.
