The Michigan Football team faced a huge setback a few days ago after the team’s Offensive Coordinator got under the radar of the school’s police department. Matt Weiss was suspected of involvement in computer access crimes, and hence, the investigations were initiated. This move resulted in the management forcefully keeping Weiss on leave, having known that could hamper their recruiting activities.

The entire story caught the headlines on Jan 5 after the Michigan Police took a report of fraudulent activity that unraveled in the school between December 21-23. Soon a probe got initiated, and Law Enforcement agencies carried out investigations at Weiss’ home a few days later.

The report claimed that there had been unauthorized access to the official mail on those three days of December last year. Currently, Weiss’ alleged involvement is under close scrutiny, and will remain out of his duties until the dust settles or found ‘not guilty’.

“The University of Michigan Police Department is investigating a report of computer access crimes that occurred at Schembechler Hall during December 21-23, 2022,” said the police report from primary investigations, per ESPN.
