Rams QB Matthew Stafford is downplaying his elbow injury. The 34-year-old is a major campaigner for Los Angeles Rams. As a result, when he suffered elbow pain in August, fans worried if it could be serious. In a major respite, the NFL star says he is ready, from the start of the season opener.

Incidentally, Stafford blames a limited throwing schedule as the reason for his pain. Previously, head coach Sean McVay said the QB’s injury may affect him for a season. However, the coach retracted his words in the last presser and adds that the 34-year-old star is good at winning a single game on his own.
Matthew Stafford is a key campaigner, and his health is a priority for the Rams
One of the most feared sides, Buffalo Bills, is geared up for the match-up against the Los Angeles Rams. The Sean McVay-coached side can leave no risk against a champion team. A disciplined show in the opener can go a long way in the team’s season. Hence, they would naturally be inclined to field their best unit. Stafford, who is entering his second season in LA, is already an indispensable part of the team.
“I don’t know if you guys were watching, but I felt like I could make any throw I wanted to. … I’m just trying to be smart when I get those opportunities to make sure I can come out here, cut it loose, turn it loose like I did at camp and go from there,” says the star campaigner.
Initially, he had to sit out of all his drills during the practice sessions. This setback was following an injection for elbow pain. Unfortunately, it affected his throwing arm. A lack of practice also raised questions about whether he could be at his best if he was given a chance.

Meanwhile, the QB is battling through elbow tendonitis but is yet to give up. He wants to play the entire season and to give his side a good chance to win the campaign. The head coach, who initially disfavored the QB’s move, later on, began supporting him, citing a lack of resources.
“I don’t know if you’re ever truly pain-free, but the goal would be for September 8 and really looking toward 17 games, then hopefully some games after that if we earn that opportunity,” says the experienced coach.
