The city of Washington demands a change, and they might be on pace to get it. Back in 2022, the franchise was sued by the Washington DC attorney general, for perpetuating a “toxic work culture and abetting sexual misconduct”. Since then investigations have been underway and several of the Commanders’ female staff and members of the cheerleading team have come forward. After 24 years of running the Washington Commanders, Dan Snyder is all set to be walking away from the team.

The revelations forced Snyder and his team’s hand as overnight the Washington fans wanted a change of ownership and there was nothing that could be done. However, it seems an NFL Insider has confirmed that new ownership is soon to come in.

The Washington Commanders are all set to experience a change of ownership and the fans are utterly delighted. Earlier reports of Dan Snyder and his wife Tanya Snyder vacating the Commanders’ facility solidified the fact that a sale was inevitable.

Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio shed some light on the matter during his appearance on the Rich Eisen show.

When I tripped over last week, that was news to me, and did the research to make sure it wasn’t already out there and I’d missed it. The idea that Dan and Tanya Snyder cleared everything they have out of the Commanders’ facility in December, late December, gone that had never been reported,” NFL Insider added.

Florio went on to state that the franchise was ‘imminently’ set to change hands and the evidence certainly points to that.

To me, that’s the most tangible piece of evidence, that they are done with it. It’s one thing to have an office and not show up, it’s another thing to take all your stuff pack up and leave. He is living in London now, so he’s checked out and I am told within the building the word passed around is that a sale is ‘imminent’ and it will not surprise me if we ultimately learn that they lined everything up behind the scenes quietly, get the buyer approved, and then maybe there’s a chance next week we find out. In one fell swoop, Snyder’s out, and insert the name of the new owner is in. That would be euphoria for Commanders fans and exactly what the NFL needs,” he said.

With all the recent developments, Snyder is expected to reveal the new owner sometime in the near future, and while a number of big names have emerged, the big reveal is still to be made.

What are Dan Snyder’s accusations?

Dan Snyder is indeed in deep waters. After the 10-month investigation from attorney Beth Wilkinson, the NFL chose to keep the public findings under wraps.

In addition to multiple charges of sexual misconduct, Snyder has also been accused of intimidating witnesses in the NFL’s investigation into the team’s workplace culture. Snyder also reportedly offered handouts to prevent witnesses from participating in Wilkinson’s investigation into the team’s workplace culture.
