Superstitions have been an immense part of every person’s life. Be it common people, celebrities, or even athletes. We’ve witnessed people put on the right sneaker first, then the left. Many people have also been glimpsed standing while attending matches in order for their side to win. Even Marshawn Lynch has one such ritual for the pre-game, which left Peyton Manning speechless.
Athletes have a strong sense of superstition. Many have strange routines they perform before getting on the field at various sporting events. But it isn’t just the players who believe in superstitions. When it comes to sports, some fans go completely insane with beliefs. They’ll go to any length to ensure that their team succeeds.

The eccentric pre-game routines of Marshawn Lynch
During a previous incident of ESPN+’s “Peyton’s Places,” The Oakland native and former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch discloses his superstition he often used to practice; Drinking a shot of Hennessy prior to actually going out over the pitch to ease his anxieties.
“My superstition was that I needed maybe a shot, a shot and a half before every game,” Lynch explained during the segment.

When Manning questioned Lynched to explain the shot, he answered, “Hennessy… what you mean ‘of?'” Peyton then inquired about the existence of a bar in the Seahawks changing room during Lynch’s playing career. Lynch said amusingly, “The bar’s in my backpack.”

This was not Marshawn Lynch’s only custom. According to Bleacher Report, he had another fruitful ritual. His Skittles obsession became a legitimate sensation amongst Seattle Seahawks fans, adding some flair to an NFL persona who just let his skills do the majority of the job.
Lynch, a five-time Pro Bowler, announced his retirement from the NFL last year following a 12-year career. Also, Lynch’s routine appears to have been successful. In his career, the RB has 10,413 running yards and 85 rushing touchdowns, and he won a Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks in the year 2014. Throughout his NFL career, the ‘Beast Mode’ running back also played for the Oakland Raiders as well as the Buffalo Bills.

Marshawn Lynch has always had a strong personality on or off the game, which is why this conversation is so interesting. Although we may not see the RB on the field any longer, he regularly makes appearances and engages with the fans. As a result, he has become one of the fan favorites.
