Hollywood superstar Mark Wahlberg is known to be an avid New England Patriots fan. It was very unfortunate for the Belichick side not to make the Super Bowl this time. However, ‘The Uncharted’ starter was present at the SoFi Stadium anyway. 

 

During his recent appearance in the Dan Patrick Show, the Hollywood hunk revealed that he was rooting for the Cincinnati Bengals instead of the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl LVI, even though he has some friends in that team. He wanted the “small market team” to win over the Rams.

Mark Wahlberg supported the Cincinnati Bengals during the Super Bowl LVI

“I’m happy for I got friends that are on the team [Rams],” Wahlberg replied“I’m happy for Odell, I’m certainly happy for Aaron Donald and Sam. But it’s one of those things where I was kind of pulling for the small-market team. But I really didn’t have any stress. It was one of the more enjoyable games for me. When the Patriots aren’t in it. I’m crazy, I mean, when the Patriots are in, I’m a crazy person. So for me, it was super relaxed. I didn’t really was a concern for me one way or the other.”

Apparently, Mark wanted an AFC team to win since the Patriots didn’t make the Super Bowl themselves. Furthermore, it was also a big shock for him to see his favorite player Tom Brady retire. It might not have been an ideal season for Wahlberg. However, it will be seen if Mac Jones could work his magic next season.

The reel-life wide receiver from the movie ‘Invincible’, though might not have reacted much to the Bengals losing the game, but had it been the Patriots, it would have been a completely different scenario altogether. He is known to be a die-hard Patriots fan, and he will certainly be happy to see Bill Belichick pull off a Super Bowl run even without Tom Brady.
