While speaking at the retirement ceremony of Federer, Tennis superstar, Marion Bartoli, couldn’t stop comparing the 20 times grand slam winner to the Buccaneers quarterback.

It was an emotional moment for the entire sports fraternity to bid a send-off for the Tennis great, after a flourishing career of 24 years. In this period, the veteran won 20 grand slam titles, won 103 singles titles, and appeared in more than 1200 games.
He was ranked No 1 for 237 weeks consecutively and became the longest undisputed leader to reign the throne. The 2013 Wimbledon champion, Marion Bartoli, vocalized her thoughtful message for the legend at his retirement ceremony.
She included Federer in the elite panel of other GOATs like Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Kobe Bryant, and many more. She had herself experienced retirement, after coming off an injury in 2018, and spoke about how she evaluated Federer in terms of statistics, and whether he can be included in the GOAT list.
“Yes, he is very much there – absolutely. Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Tiger Woods, Tom Brady, they are people that transcend their sports – they are icons,” she said in her speech. With an unparalleled legacy, Roger Federer certainly remains at par with other legends of the game.
He won more men’s singles main draw matches in grand slam tournaments than anyone. Just like Federer, Tom Brady is on the same page as having an extensive career of more than 20 years.
