The Dallas Cowboys have had a season to forget. Bottom of the pile in the NFC East, America’s favourite team, as they are fondly called, just haven’t been able to hit the ground running.
With a shot at the playoffs now almost certainly out of the picture, the Dallas-based franchise will be looking forward to a productive offseason in 2021 to do away with the ghosts of the past.
While Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will have his work cut out in trying to plug the gaps, it’s no secret that the franchise’s main headache will be surrounding their starting quarterback Dak Prescott.

With his contract situation still very much up in the air, former Cowboys defensive lineman Marcus Spears on ESPN’s NFL Live feels Prescott should look to move on to greener pastures.
“Dak Prescott should want to find a new spot to play football,” said Spears describing Prescott as the “the only living pulse that you had as a football team before he got injured.”

When asked further as to which team Prescott should look to sign with, Spears suggested Super Bowl LIV runners-up 49ers.
“There’s a team on the West Coast with a coach named Kyle Shanahan and a GM named John Lynch that would love to have Dak Prescott running that offense,” he said. “The San Francisco 49ers, yeah.”

The Cowboys still believe that Prescott is their quarterback for the future. The odds of the two parties coming to an agreement though seems unlikely as the Cowboys and Prescott have already held multiple talks in the past regarding a contract extension to no avail.
