Ever since Hamlin collapsed and was taken to the hospital, prayers started pouring in from all parts of the world. Similarly, the online charity box for his medical expenses flooded with millions of dollars. It turns out Gronkowski made a hefty on-brand donation of $6,900 and helped the campaign find its right direction, which has now reached a pivotal mark of $8 million.

Before Hamlin’s twisted fate took a shot at the youngster, the 24-year-old had created a GoFundMe page to fund his community toy drive. But unfortunately, the very same page is now used for his well-being and initially began with a goal of $2,500.

As the Football superstar’s tragic incident remained a hot topic of national attention, funding was never an issue. Meanwhile, Gronkowski laying the foundation stones caught the media’s attention, and fans started showering love to him.

As of now, Gronk’s $6,900 has been surpassed because big players and organizations have entered the fundraising campaign. Per the Clutch Points, Matthew Stafford has donated $12,000 and the Buccaneers a reasonable $15,000.
