It’s always a sad sad day when a renowned legend passes away. After losing NFL great Jim Brown a couple of weeks ago, NFL is mourning the loss of another legend. One of the most cherished individuals in the Kansas City Chiefs community, Norma Hunt passed away on 4th June. Patrick Mahomes and coach Andy Reid made their way to the White House to honor the late Norma Hunt.

Norma Hunt, the wife of former owner Lamar Hunt, was key to the NFL in many ways. She was key in the effort of renaming the NFL trophy to the Lombardi trophy, in honor of Vince Lombardi. Norma assisted her husband in running the Chiefs until his demise back in 2006. Andy Reid remembers Norma Hunt and talks about her on the White House lawn in his bid to enumerate her in the history books.

Patrick Mahomes’ coach tears up on the White House stage

Andy Reid, coach of Patrick Mahomes, alongside his team, have traveled to the White House this week. They were visiting President Joe Biden as the reigning champions of the NFL having won the Super Bowl on 12th February, 2023.

Coach Reid thanks President Biden and the fans who showed up in support of him and his team. “For the celebration of a championship, from the tour that we had, to the history here, to the great food,” says Andy Reid as he graciously appreciates the invitation to the White House.

Andy Reid talks about losing the great Norma Hunt after her passing recently. Andy Reid spoke about the Chiefs and the fans at the White House. In a Twitter post, Coach Reid goes on to say, “I am proud to be the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs man. Oof, Doggone, doggone..”

Mahomes and Community feel the loss of Norma Hunt

The loss of Norma Hunt came as a shock to everyone. The Hunt family received an enormous outpour of love and affection and support in such a tragic time. A senior figure for the Chiefs, she helped them to their present stage when Dallas Texans were moving back in the 1960s.

Mahomes, Skip, and her relatives showed their support and appreciation of the legend as they took to Social Media. They bid their respects and sentiments as they grapple with her loss.

Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City community and many others feel the pain of losing what can only be described as one of the closest members of the founder of the Chiefs. Reid did his best in paying his respects to the Late Norma Hunt at the biggest stage possible.
