In a major update, the match between Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes will begin in Tampa amid the ongoing hurricane. Meanwhile, Hurricane Ian has already caused heavy rainfall in the southwestern part of Florida.

However, the NFL wants to take a chance with the hurricane slowly losing power. The Sunday Night Football game will be one of the biggest of the 2022-23 season. With both teams coming from a loss, the onus will be high on them to change the trajectory of their performance so far. NFL fans are divided over the decision to play in Florida
When Tampa Bay Buccaneers shifted their training camp to Miami some days ago because of the upcoming hurricane, most of the fans thought the venue will shift too. Besides that, some reports mentioned that there is an understanding among the authority about shifting the venue to US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. However, as per Ian Rapoport, the match will now happen at the Raymond James Stadium.

Although, the situation regarding the hurricane almost took away that chance from them. Besides that, the authorities can still move the match if the situation worsens.
‘Our thoughts and prayers remain with the many thousands in the Southwest Florida region who have been severely impacted by Hurricane Ian,’ the Bucs said in a statement. ‘We have informed the NFL, after consulting with local and state agencies, that we are ready to play Sunday night’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Raymond James Stadium as originally scheduled.’

NFL fans will have to wait till Sunday to know whether the game will be played in Tampa or somewhere else. However, irrespective of the venue, experts expect the game to be a firecracker.
