We might just be four weeks into the 2021 NFL season, but rookie quarterback Mac Jones is already having a debut outing to remember in the NFL. The New England Patriots man is in contention for the ROTY award after impressing in recent weeks.
It’s not even been a year since he led the Alabama Crimson Tide football team to the CFP National Championship, but Jones is justifying the hype surrounding his arrival in Foxboro. The youngster went up against Patriots great and 7-time Super Bowl winner, Tom Brady, on the weekend.
While he couldn’t lead his team to a win, he did do enough to earn the respect of Brady and the rest of the opposition.

“That was an incredible performance by the Patriots last night when so many of us didn’t expect it. Yeah, it was incredible. Mac Jones is ready to roll in their offence and the defence did its job last night once again…just again it’s a moral victory. I saw some Patriots fans have issues with talking about moral victory certainly when current talked about it because I follow him.”
“And it’s just like, hey, look to anybody last night, who had a problem with what they saw out of New England and the Patriots or booed Brady. Check yourself because 20 years that you had nobody else and nobody else may ever come again. And it will never be that good again, no matter how good Mac Jones is because there’s one Tom Brady. Again, a winner in Foxborough. How about that?” Eisen said on the show.
The New England Patriots quarterback raised eyebrows when coach Bill Belichick chose him over veteran Cam Newton. But he is slowly and steadily justifying that decision. Next up for Jones and the Patriots is a must-win game against the Houston Texans.
