Despite facing the toughest time of his life, he chose to beat off his weakness for his love of football. After a near-death experience on the field, he is back on track, as evident in his training session.

It was his first full-padded match, which invited immense applause from his fans. Even Damar got emotional after returning to his place, as he expressed in the interview with ESPN. He even showed his thanks to God for being with him. During his recent practice, he flipped the fitness narrative with his jaw-dropping athleticism.

A few months ago, the spectacular created a deep shock for his fans due to the sudden collapse he had to face during his matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals. He faced a terrible cardiac arrest, which stopped his heart. To bring his heart rate back to normal, he was given CPR immediately by Bill’s medical staff. But it seems the NFL safety is back in form.

On Monday, Damar went to commence his full-fledged training after seven months of recovery after the cardiac arrest. During training, Damar showed his ball-hawking prowess on the second day of training, which happened at St. John Fisher University.

Andy Isabella, a veteran wide receiver, missed the deep crossing route from backup quarterback Matt Barkley because of timing issues, but Hamlin quickly picked it up and intercepted the pass. This spectacular performance was praised by the Buffalo Bills on their social media, as they wrote, “Love to see it, #Bill Champ.” Hamlin acknowledges that he is bounced back so soon due to the prompt action by Bill’s training staff.

Hamlin honors Bill’s training staff

Bill’s training staff received a heartfelt tribute from Damar for their heroic action at the ESPY Awards 2023. They were honored with the Pat Tilman Award for Safety for their prompt action in such a horrendous situation. He was all emotional as a presenter. All the attendees stood by his side and gave him a standing ovation. Damar broke down into tears, and the entire team hugged him and thanked him for bringing him alive.

Athletic Trainer Nate Breske praised the safety for his willpower and courage in standing strong in such a disastrous phase of his life.
