The current offseason has been one of the most turbulent ever in terms of trades, contracts, and releases. And one of the biggest events during this year’s offseason has been the kind of drama there has been between Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. The HC, John Harbaugh recently appeared on the Rich Eisen Show and spoke about his relationship with the QB after the contract drama. Surprisingly, the HC had only good words to say about his QB.

It is obvious that the Ravens’ organization values the QB. They’ve gone on to make their commitment to keeping him in Baltimore clear by extending one of the highest contracts ever in the NFL. Furthermore, the coaching staff, right up to the head coach, has admitted to their love for Jackson. While on the Rich Eisen Show, Harbaugh made it clear that the Ravens organization and the QB’s relationship is one that is focused on winning.
While talking about the trajectory of his own relationship with Jackson. He even subtly hinted at the ups and downs they’ve had. He specified this and said, We made a commitment you know. And we decided that we were going to do something together you know and we’d been through a lot and it’s like any relationship. There are lots of things that aren’t perfect it’s always like that.”
After all the drama that went down between Jackson and the Ravens, one might have expected a relationship filled with more friction. However, Harbaugh has indicated that everything is functioning well. Indeed, after such a hefty contract, even Jackson is bound to be motivated toward success with the Ravens.

Jackson’s huge payout
While the road to an agreement on Jackson’s contract was tough, Jackson was able to earn a huge paycheck. After rounds and rounds of negotiations that involved franchise tags, the Ravens agreed to a $260 million contract, spanning over 5 years. Incidentally, this deal has made Jackson the highest-paid player in NFL history. After two years in the making, Jackson will finally earn the hefty amount he was due. Furthermore, the Ravens have also recruited Odell Beckham Jr for their team, ensuring that Jackson has an adequate amount of help, ensuring a fighting chance for the Super Bowl.
With the drama out of the way, Jackson is ready to lead the Ravens to victory. However, only time will tell if his hefty contract is worth the skills he has on the field in the upcoming season.
