In 2021, Aaron Rodgers contemplated retirement but ultimately signed a 3-year extension worth $150 million, which the Jets will now assume. Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts inked a 5-year $255 million agreement with the Eagles. Patrick Mahomes still holds the record for the largest contract overall, having signed a 10-year, $503 million deal. These contracts might look lucrative to an NFL fan. Although, there is a catch in the story.
Take a look at the current high-end QB deals and compare the three-year cash flow for Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes with some really unexpected conclusions. The NFL’s highest-paid quarterbacks for the 2023 season are listed as some signal-callers sign massive deals this offseason.

How much money professional quarterbacks are making over a three-year period? Well, Chris Simms, an NFL Analyst, has compared the amount of money that different quarterbacks are making and found that Jalen Hurts will make $106.3 million over three years (who is still a relatively new face in the league).
But, wait a second, because the real surprise here is that Patrick Mahomes, widely considered one of the best quarterbacks in the league, ranks all the way down in 10th place with just $63 million in cash flow. That’s less than half of what Rodgers is making! Mahomes’ long-term contract limits his power to negotiate. He won’t speak out about his team-friendly deal’s inadequacies.
Simms added that low-performing QBs’ high salaries could pressure Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert to negotiate bigger contracts. As per Simms, he is interested to see how they react.
After new deals for Burrow and Herbert (In 2023, Burrow earns $5.5M and Herbert makes $4.2M), “Chiefs will re-examine the contract signed three NFL seasons ago,” said G.M. Brett Veach.
The question is, who is the Highest-Paid NFL player with $XXX Million in Cash Flow?

According to reports, Aaron Rodgers is the top earner, with a whopping $150.8 million in cash flow over three years. That’s a lot of dough! Deshaun Watson (rank 2) and Dak Prescott (rank 3) are close with $138 million and $126 million, respectively.
But there’s a catch, exclude the glamour, like Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Deshaun Watson, and Dak Prescott, who’s left? Matthew Stafford leads the pack with a three-year cash flow of $120 million, followed closely by Russell Wilson at $119 million. But don’t count out the young guns just yet. Daniel Jones comes in at $112.5 million and Kyler Murray is just behind at $107.8 million.
And the interesting part: Josh Allen is also at the bottom with $92.3 million, the lowest on the list is none other than Patrick Mahomes. From fans’ perspective, does the NFL’s cash flow data from the past three years present a contrasting image?
