Los Angeles Rams’ Cooper Kupp has been a fan favorite ever since he joined the team back in 2017. The former NFL third-round pick has quickly grown into one of the star performers for the Rams over the last three years.
Cooper was phenomenal under Sean McVay’s tutelage in 2019. The former Eastern Washington college player had 1,100+ receiving yards and 10 receiving TDs last year.
The Rams have now rewarded Cooper Kupp with a three-year contract extension for his impressive displays.

Kupp put pen to paper on a three-year deal that keeps him with the Rams until 2023. He is set to earn $48 million over the course of his new deal. Previously, Cooper was scheduled to earn $2.1 million in the final season of his rookie deal.
Kupp had a tough outing in 2018 after tearing his ACL. But recovered well the following year. He put in some eye-catching displays in 2019, especially in the Week Eight victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in North London. The wide receiver caught seven passes for 220 yards and a registered a touchdown in that game.
Over the course of 39 career games, including 28 starts, Kupp has caught 196 passes for a total of 2,596 yards and 21 TDs.

Kupp and teammate Robert Woods will be crucial cogs in the Rams’ campaign this season. Coach Sean McVay will rely on his two experienced wide receivers to support Jared Goff. The Rams will start their 2020 season with a clash against the Dak Prescott-led Dallas Cowboys at the new SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
They start the season as underdogs but have some proven stars in the form of Kupp, Goff, Aaron Donald, and of course, Jalen Ramsey. The highly-rated cornerback also bagged a contract extension with the Rams earlier this week.

The Rams will look to pull off a major upset when they play Mike McCarthy’s Cowboys in Week One. Hopefully, Kupp will be able to celebrate his new contract with a win.
