A couple of days ago, the Los Angeles Rams succumbed to a shock 31-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The match was important for the Rams for two reasons – an easy win would’ve taken them closer to the top in their division, plus it was the debut of their star signing Odell Beckham Jr.

Unfortunately for OBJ, his dream debut turned into a nightmare. The Rams’ offence looked completely sloppy, especially Matthew Stafford, who looked more out of sync with OBJ than Baker Mayfield. This horrid result meant that Beckham was the butt of jokes on social media. Responding to his critics, the LA Rams Wide Receiver took to Twitter.

Stafford-OBJ partnership a colossal flop for Los Angeles Rams

Stafford appeared to be out of sync in the offence for the second week in a row, with several of his throws going wide off the mark. He just completed 26 of 41 attempts, and threw for 243 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions. The fact that three of his primary receivers were sick at various periods throughout the evening also didn’t help him.

Stafford also seemed to get into an argument with Beckham, who was making his Rams debut after signing on Friday. On a broken play, Stafford appeared to expect Beckham to continue running deep up the middle of the field, but he was held up for a while. Stafford’s pass was thrown off as a result, and Ward was able to get under the ball and intercept him.
