Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris took offense to 49ers TE George Kittle’s comments about their face-off this weekend. Morris, who professed to be an admirer of Kittle, saw his comments as a dig towards the Rams’ Week 18 loss. The defeat saw the San Francisco 49ers mounting an impressive comeback following a disappointing first half.

The metaphorical pitchforks against Kittle seem to be on a misinterpretation but will be an additional motivation. While talking to reporters on Thursday, Morris stated, “He’s one of my favorite players in this league, other than this week. When you talk about George Kittle, you’re talking about a competitor, a tough guy. He came out and talked about the bodybag game last week, and he put us in one, and now it’s our time to pay him back.“
One thing is certain on Sunday; the Rams are going to be on their game defensively under Morris. They did play some great defense on Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay in their Divisional Round meeting. So expectations will be high of maintaining and adding to that impressive showing.
Los Angeles Rams are bringing the heat
Both the Rams and the 49ers are competitive teams, and the latter did make it six consecutive wins over their NFC West counterparts in Week 18. QB Matthew Stafford will also be on a high after having a decent outing and a great performance in the closing moments of their Divisional Round game. The standout WRs Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham Jr. will also be a huge test for a decent 49ers defense.
