ESPN expert wants Russell Wilson gone from the Broncos team

I truly hope Denver gets their organization figured out. There are 70 other dudes on the team besides Russell Wilson, no 1 player is worth the culture of your entire team ,we are All 1 and if one doesn’t wanna be like the rest of us then the locker room doesn’t want you

“No 1 player is worth the culture of your entire team ,we are All 1 and if one doesn’t wanna be like the rest of us then the locker room doesn’t want you.” Notably, there were plenty of rumors regarding Wilson’s relationship with his teammates. Many were not happy with Wilson getting all the privileges off the field, including private office, private parking spot, and more. That’s the major reason McFarland wants the Broncos to release him from his contract.

It is worth noting that, the Broncos signed Wilson this off-season from the Seattle Seahawks for a record $242.58 million on a five-year deal. Moreover, Wilson will receive $161 million in guaranteed money. So, the Broncos are in a tough spot with the Wilson situation, as they can not simply terminate his contract. If they do, his dead cap would be $107 million next season, which will be a huge loss for the franchise. As a result, McFarland probably won’t get his wish to see Wilson gone from the Broncos team.

As mentioned earlier, the Denver team fired their head coach Nathaniel Hackett on Monday after the Rams’ loss. Talking about the firing of the head coach, Wilson said, “Obviously, devastated about coach Hackett because I think he’s an amazing man, amazing teacher, amazing father… He was a guy that spent all of his time and all of his effort into us as players, as staff members, everybody, coaches as well.”
Notably, the Broncos have a 4-11 record this season with two games to go. Jerry Rosburg is currently taking over as the interim head coach. Right now, the GM of the Broncos, George Paton is showing faith in Wilson, as he believes the new head coach can fix the team and the QB’s performance next season.
