When the Green Bay Packers roped in Jordan Love, it left many divided and not many looked favourably on it. Naturally, many suggested that the Packers roped in Love in the hope of replacing Aaron Rodgers express their frustration at the move, and some theorized that it might just be the team preparing to replace Aaron Rodgers.

Love admitted that Rodgers reached out to him to congratulate him, but is it a front to hide his feelings? 15 years ago, Rodgers was in the exact position as Love when the Packers drafted him while Brett Favre was still there. Obviously, Favre treated Rodgers with hostility and viewed him as a threat for his quarterback position. So, the real question is, ‘Does Rodgers view Jordan Love as a threat?’

Earlier, Rodgers appeared on the Pat McAfee Show and stated that he would welcome a pick of a “skill player in the first round.”

What did experts say about the Jordan Love-Green Bay Packers Union?

McAfee insisted that he was happy for Love’s inclusion, however analyst Mel Kiper admitted, “Everyone who’s a Packers fan, f***ing hates you right now. If you’re a Packers fan, you know where that guy lives, show up with pitchforks, maybe throw a couple of bricks or rocks. Let him know, we’re not f***ing happy about this. Let’s take the only guy who’s gonna f**ing p** Rodgers off. The only possible pick that’s gonna make him f***ing p***ed at the organisation”

Head coach Matt LaFleur attempted to assuage fans. According to him, Rodgers is still a part of the team’s gameplan for the foreseeable future. He also insisted that he loves working with the 36-year old. So he would love to see what the future holds for everyone.

Rodgers might have openly welcomed Love, but he may be absolutely furious with the front office for slighting him. This swoop for the 21-year old could potentially strain Rodgers’ relationship with Gutekunst and LaFleur. There is also the danger of Aaron Rodgers walking away from Green Bay. Apparently, he was not consulted before the franchise signed Love, which some may perceive as an utter travesty.
