The Rookie QB has taken a lot of NFL veterans by surprise. Forget the stats, the amount of money the Texans have invested in the new Quarterback is astonishing. They say money can’t buy happiness, but the same cannot be said for the Houston Texans.

The Heisman Trophy finalist already has his teammate’s seal of approval. His impressive college career puts him in the spotlight, maybe for good. The rookie has garnered a lot of faith and expectations with the onset of his multi-year contract with the Texans. However, Houston’s Left Tackle has his own set of theories about CJ Stroud.

Laremy Tunsil’s confidence

On a recent podcast with the Pivot, Laremy Tunsil shares bits and pieces of his locker room conversations with Stroud. A simple four-word motivation from the Left Back might make things easier for the new QB. Laremy seems confident in Stroud’s abilities and says that he’s got the right mindset.

“Let’s get this S**t bro”, is what Tunsil tells the new QB.

Although Stroud has proven himself, there were questions about how quickly he can adjust to the speed of the game. In Tunsil’s opinion, it didn’t affect the game that much. He clarifies that the Texans have a strong offensive line to take care of things. Players like Kenyon Green, Tytus Howard, and Shaq Mason are capable enough to handle the offense, added Tunsil.

CJ Stroud, the new weapon

CJ Stroud was recently signed to the Houston Texans in a 4-Year $36.3 million deal as the No.2 overall draft pick. Stroud will be the opening QB for the Texans along with Davis Mills and Case Keenum. With more than 8,000 yards in his career with the Ohio State, CJ Stroud is a well-decorated player in his own league, winning multiple Big Ten Offensive Players of the Year honors.

Along with Stroud, DeMeco Ryans is another name that was added to the team in the off-season trades. A lot of positive reactions come from the fans as the Texans usher in a new era of their career.
