Considered one of the incredible tight ends to play the game, Rob Gronkowski is already a four-time Super Bowl champion in just over a decade-long career. However, recently, he has been in the news, mainly regarding his status. Analysts have been discussing whether he wishes to return to the Bucs for the 2022 season.

The GetUp crew of NFL on ESPN also discussed this in a clip released on YouTube. Primarily discussing the Bucs’ chances this season, they also touched upon Gronkowski’s retirement situation and whether the TE intended to return to play this season.
The GetUp crew of NFL on ESPN spoke about Rob Gronkowski’s indecision regarding his retirement. They discussed the possibility of Gronkowski’s imminent return to the Buccaneers. The hosts talked about the Bucs being optimistic about Gronkowski’s return to the league sometime before training camp.

The hosts said that there is a general feeling that Gronk wants to play but has been publicly unsure whether he should play or retire. The hosts agreed that this was unsurprising, as there was never any confirmation from Gronk about not returning to play again. Also, Gronk had retired once before from the New England Patriots. However, he returned after a year to join Brady at the Buccaneers.
One of the hosts said regarding the TE, “He knows the playbook. He and Tom have tremendous chemistry. He’s fine. Let Gronk have a little more vacay time. He’ll get in football shape probably around November-December and be ready for the playoffs.”
What do the Bucs think about the return of Rob Gronkowski?
So far, Bucs coach Todd Bowles does not know of Gronkowski’s plans to return for the season. He has not publicly commented on his decision to retire or return to play. However, the TE has mentioned that should he return, he would play for the Bucs in the new season.

Speaking to SB Nation, Gronk said, “The Buccaneers situation is just too good if I decide to go back and play. Like I said, I love all my teammates there.”

Being one of the best TEs in the world, if not the best, Gronkowski may not have much trouble getting quickly into shape should he want to return to the field. However, it depends entirely on him.

However, Bucs fans and players, including Brady, would desire him to decide on his course of action so he can also be a part of the team effort for another Super Bowl.
