Tom Brady may be one of the most well-known sports personalities in America. As a 7X Super Bowl champion and, given the popularity of the game, one would expect him and his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, to be one of the most trending people on Google. But that just may not be the case.

Recently, Brady made headlines when he was seen with Bündchen’s ex-Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio on a boat enjoying a friend’s birthday bash. While the Brazilian supermodel’s career is seeing a resurgence, her online popularity seems to be miles away from the Hollywood heartthrobs.

A recent article by Glimpse shared the top 100 most searched people on Google for this year. And to the surprise of many, music icon Taylor Swift was in second place with 10,672,000 searches, while soccer legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were in 1st and 3rd place, respectively.

What came as a surprise is that the search does not include the 7X Super Bowl champion and his ex-wife anywhere on the list. Both Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen failed to make it on the list, despite their immense popularity. Instead, Bundchen’s Hollywood ex Leonardo DiCaprio stood tall at no. 42 with 817,000 searches. However, this wasn’t always true for Brady.

In fact, Tom Brady was the most searched person on Google in February 2023, the month when he announced his second and permanent retirement from the NFL after 23 seasons. While both Brady and Bundchen failed this time, who else was the most searched on Google? More importantly, is there any NFL player on the list?

If not Tom Brady, then who?

While the NFL GOAT was not a part of the list of 150 people, there was only one individual from the league who made it to the most searched people list. Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes was at no. 132 with 156,000 searches. And the reason for this might be his recent Super Bowl LVII triumph against the Philadelphia Eagles.
