Tom Brady on Leonard Fournette’s interception
The Buccaneers were leading 14-3 in the third quarter. They decided to pull a rabbit out of the hat. It was a first and 10 on the brink of the red zone. Tom Brady left the ball with running back Leonard Fournette and lined up as a wide receiver. The RB tracked back and lobbed the ball for Brady to receive. But the QB fell on the ground in what looked like a slip, and the Seahawks cornerback Tariq Woolen intercepted the ball.

Not only that, but Brady also got a penalty for tripping the cornerback, resulting in a 10-yard advantage for the Seahawks on their first down. Talk about adding insult to injury. The QB opened up about the play in the post-match press conference and said that he shouted at Fournette to not throw the ball as the Seahawks’ defense had seen through the ruse.
“I was hoping to be wide open, and I probably was on the first one. I think they were pretty clued in on the second one, and they said ‘cover him, cover him,’ and I was on the sideline and tried to yell, ‘Lenny, no!”’ Brady said about the play. But it was too late for that. Fournette lobbed the ball and Woolen intercepted it. First down Seattle.
