Troy Aikman failed to acknowledge Patrick Mahomes and his massive achievement
As Mahomes’ pass hit the hands of his teammate Travis Kelce, the 27-year-old quarterback broke Aikman’s record of 165 career touchdowns. Notably, Aikman achieved this feat in 165 games; on the other hand, Mahomes achieved it in just 68 games, playing 97 fewer games than the legendary Hall of Famer.
How do you have Troy Aikman in the booth and you don't mention that Patrick Mahomes passed him on the career TD list?

It was a massive achievement for Aikman and Mahomes breaking that record in fewer games certainly annoyed the former Cowboys quarterback. In 2019, a statistic showed Mahomes had thrown 36% of Aikman’s career touchdowns in 8% of the games.
This stat annoyed Aikman, as he tweeted, “Talk to me when he has 33% of my Super Bowl Titles.”

A year later, Mahomes won his first Super Bowl, and the quarterback even received the Super Bowl MVP after his amazing performance against the 49ers. It is worth noting that Aikman won 3 Super Bowls in his career and Mahomes only has 1 so far. So, Mahomes probably has to win two more Super Bowls to get acknowledged by the legendary QB.

Additionally, his completion rate is 66.7% with just 2 interceptions. These statistics certainly prove the fact that he is currently one of the best quarterbacks in the league, if not the best.
Last Monday, he threw 4 touchdown passes in an impressive comeback win over the Raiders. It is also worth mentioning that was the largest comeback win for Mahomes’ career in a regular season game; the Chiefs were down by 0-17 in the second quarter.
