And as LeBron James enters the fray to judge the GOAT’s validity, he once had a contrasting reaction to Patrick Mahomes.

During an interview in 2017, LeBron James had a different take on TB12. After a fresh championship run and adding a 5th ring to his name. Brady was being called the GOAT. And not only in the NFL but also in a wider sporting perspective. With a portfolio like he has, many believed he is the GOAT of American sports. However, The NBA starlet was not in agreement with this. “My only argument with a football player being the greatest athlete of all time is that they only gotta play one side of the floor, man,” Added King James.
Even though his take on football players was not wild or out of the ordinary. It was, however, inconsistent. Patrick Mahomes, who currently wears the tag of the greatest talent in the league. While the player signed a 10-year deal worth of $450 million, which could extend to $503 million. As it was one of the biggest deals in the history of sports, it accrued quite a few reactions as well. And LeBron did not shy away from praising the player, even used a raised hands emoji to congratulate the young quarterback.

Tom Brady and LeBron James united against time
LeBron James is currently in the race for staking his claim over the NBA for being the GOAT. The future NBA Hall of Famer is 37 going into his 20th season. Both Tom Brady and James have defied father time. And doing it in style as well. Their performances are still on the level of the top half of the leagues.

While LeBron looks to Break Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s all-time scoring record this season. Tom Brady, who is now 45 years old, is still going on in the hope of another ring.
