The statement came on the Thursday Night Football Alternate podcast. Fans have had very different takes on the statement LeBron has made regarding Aaron Rodgers.
LeBron James on Aaron Rodgers
On the TNF podcast, LeBron James commented his view on what the Green Bay Packers QB deserves. He said, “When you have a transcendent, franchise player, quarterback, like Aaron Rodgers…why won’t you surround that, when you’ve got the picks to maximize what he can do,” LeBron’s comment on what Rodgers should be surrounded by sparked a debate all over Twitter.
A lot of the NFL fans were not happy with what LeBron had said. Interestingly, some tweets communicated their unhappiness.

James shared his thoughts about what Aaron Rodgers deserves, and the fans responded to LeBron. A fan sarcastically commented on the difference between football and basketball team management:
But it doesn't apply to basketball because in basketball the superstar apparently gets to choose who he plays with. The front office and whatever picks they have are immaterial.

Another fan went on to comment on the state of the Lakers, and the amount of credibility LeBron really holds:
Lebron's not really the guy I'd take personnel pointers from. See the Lakers 2021 to present.

Furthermore, there was also a fan reaction about the difference between professional basketball and football:
Bc unlike basketball, there is a tough cap and entire other two phases of the game to plan and draft for. It’s pretty common in football to plan that if you have a playmaker you can surround them with cheaper talent and they will pull them up. Don’t really know if I agree but ya

Subsequently, another fan spoke about their opinion on Rodgers’ greed:
Well if Rodgers was like Brady and wasn't so driven on a gigantic fat payday and would allow a smaller contract to retain talent or add quality talent?… Things might be different… You can't pay Aaron what he is making plus break the bank to provide for him.

Lastly, a fan even thought that LeBron might have been exaggerating the greatness of Aaron Rodgers:
he is a great QB of this era, but he isn't transcendent, 1 ring 12 years ago doesn't make you generational, relax LeBron

NFL fans most definitely had an interesting view of the statement made by LeBron and how much they might have disagreed with the statement. Furthermore, the fans’ reaction was geared less toward the statement that was being made. It was geared more toward the fact that it was James who was making the statement. In his opinion, the Packers need to provide Rodgers with more talent to help him win. While the Green Bay Packers might be second on the North NFC table, they aren’t doing very well.

The Packers have not been having the most stellar season this year. They have had a record of 4 wins and 7 losses. The team has a PCT of 0.364. Their PCT should be a lot more if they want to be Super Bowl contenders.
Aaron Rodgers has also been putting up stellar numbers. He has thrown over 2000 yards and 17 touchdowns. However, the Packers are still struggling to win. Most recently, they lost a game to the Tennessee Titans.

Is it possible that there might be some truth in what LeBron said? Do the Packers’ front office need to change their approach to the way the team is right now?
