LeBron James’ biggest hater and the biggest Dallas Cowboys fan in the NFL, Skip Bayless, rips apart the officiating crew for denying the Cowboys a chance to make a last-second miraculous snap. The bizarre ending to the game has already attracted much criticism, and the one by Skip Bayless was no different.

Bayless being a hardcore Dallas fan was following the team throughout the Wild Card game and was reporting his mode of dissent on Twitter time after time. He was very dissatisfied with the Cowboys since they did not deliver as he expected them to be. The Cowboys were trailing the Niners by 13-0 in the second quarter of the game.

Yet they were on their way to retaliate from a 23-17 score. But that did not seem to happen. At the end, when the Cowboys still had a chance to score in the last drive, the referee intervened and cost them the last few precious seconds of the game. And the time went off before the snap could even be made.

“Is it the Cowboys’ fault that the umpire wasn’t capable of keeping up with the play?” Bayless tweeted. “He should’ve been following Dak on a dead sprint. If he had, he would’ve had time to set the ball before Dak’s spike. Instead, we got screwed.”

The game was dominated by the Jimmy Garoppolo led San Francisco 49ers through and through. And Dak was seen in a different form altogether as he seemed bleak in his approach. Dak finished the game with 24 of 43 pass attempts for 254 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

However, he did not play like himself in the playoff game as he was not able to connect well with the receivers and at last cost the Cowboys a ticket to the Divisional Round. Skip Bayless was clearly not happy with the outcome. However, his main reason for dissent was the controversial last snap of the game.

However, later during an interview, NFL referee Alex Kemp explained that the officiating done during the game was spot on and by the NFL rules. There was no error committed by the referee and a player cannot place the ball down before a snap. It should be done by the official.
