Almost a month after announcing his intention to be a New York Jet, Aaron Rodgers is still officially on the Green Bay Packers payroll. And probably will remain there if the two franchises cannot arrive at a sweet spot in the negotiations. The 39-year-old passer seems to have had enough of football talk for the time as he recently shifted the discourse to the future political climate of the country. That’s a big jump!

Aaron Rodgers and his podcaster friend Aubrey Marcus share a lot in common. Be it their mutual affection for spending time in ‘darkness retreats’ or their present choice for the future President of the United States of America.

Democrat Robert F. Kennedy just submitted his bid to contest in the 2024 US elections. And he was also the latest guest on the Aubrey Marcus podcast. The same place where Aaron Rodgers made his first public appearance after coming out of his ‘darkness retreat’ in South Oregon. Both Aaron and Aubrey have given their unequivocal support to RFK, who comes from a long line of political ancestry. His father was Robert Kennedy and his uncle was the iconic JFK.

RFK Jr. embodies the courage, wisdom, and clarity that we expect and desperately need in a leader. And he has my full support,” Aubrey captioned the Instagram reel. “I believe he’s going to win. He has proven that he has the integrity and the courage to stand up to the corporatocracy which is overrunning all of political and state agencies,” he said in the video. Super Bowl XLV MVP Aaron Rodgers wholeheartedly agreed. “Kennedy2024,” Rodgers kick-started the campaign unofficially with two heart emojis. He also shared a post on his Instagram story regarding this.

However, this isn’t the first time Aaron Rodgers is hearing of RFK. The two have previously met and shared very similar opinions on a controversial subject. One that caused Aaron his share of problems in the NFL, too.

Aaron Rodgers and RFK agree on more than just corporate bureaucracy

In 2021, four-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers made the headlines when he went on an anti-vaccination stance. The quarterback even lied about his vaccination status, ended up paying a fine for attending a Halloween party, and also wasn’t a huge fan of face masks. Robert Kennedy’s stance is pretty much along the same lines.

The two even met recently in Santa Monica. “Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital quality for those who seek to change the world which yields most painfully to change,” RFK captioned his picture with Rodgers. Is A-Rod bound to make more headlines in this political debate or will his mind drop back to the New York Jets pocket once the NFL season kicks off in September?
